A number of the staff members of the Chicago Music Guide is either currently a musician themselves or used to be a musician at one time. We have the insider’s perspective on what musicians would need and want to see and we strive hard to give it to them. Chicago Music Guide is dedicated to working with all entities of the music and entertainment industry, such as record companies and their publicists.

Knowthemusicbiz.com

Ourstage

OurStage is the only democratic competition where the fans decide who's the best in emerging entertainment. Fans have the real voice because our patent-pending judging system eliminates cheaters. Each artist gets a fair shot. The bottom line is, if you're really the best, the fans will drive you to the top. As a collective, taste-making community of both fans and artists, we value honesty and active involvement above all else.

Threadless

The Bleeding Heart Bakery

Bleeding Heart Bakery opened as a tiny farmers market stand and then in a tiny space on Chicago Ave. in 2004 and later moved to its current home in Roscoe Village in 2006. The idea behind BHB was to use local, organic and sustainable ingrediants to provide amazing and thought provoking pastry that was as delicious as it was beautiful and cutting edge. The persoanilty of each product takes on the persoanlity of the environment it was created in and always has a bit of punk rock tucked inside (even where you'd least suspect it) In late 2009, a second location was opened in the Oak Park neighborhood of Chicago and there are more to come!

Eventric

Eventric began as PC Guild in 2000. With the release of Master Tour Database, the company pioneered the use of database-driven applications within the concert touring industry. The application's user base grew steadily as industry insiders spread the word. Master Tour Database quickly began to make tours run more professionally and simplifying life for touring professionals. The Master Tour Database eventually acquired over 700 users and 200 acts, including some of the industry's top grossing artists including the Dave Matthews Band, The Dead, Green Day, and The Black Eyed Peas as well as major festivals such as Lollapalooza and Ozzfest. In 2009, Master Tour Database was renamed Eventric to reflect its approach targeting all live events. Eventric released a major rewritten version of MASTER TOUR in August of 2009 and plans to introduce the industry-changing LIVE MARKETPLACE later this year.

Heileman's Old Style Beer

Originally called Golden Leaf Lager in the 1890’s, Old Style first appeared in local stores in 1902. With very few changes, this became the Old Style we know and love today."Pure brewed in God's Country" has faded as an advertising slogan but it's hard to drive very far in any part of Wisconsin without seeing an Old Style sign hanging on the side of a barn or in the window of a roadside tavern. After prohibition, G. Heileman’s brewmaster was asked by the workforce to brew an especially “strong” beer for a company picnic. They loved it so much, management decided to sell it to the public, and Heileman’s Old Style Lager Special Export was launched in 1934. Taking advantage of a nationwide bottlers strike and subsequent product rationing by a competitor, Old Style came across the state line into Illinois. It wasn't long before Old Style became Chicago's beer - served from the north side to the south side and everywhere in between!
